Terminus Times #3

Hello again, it has been some time since I sat down to write one of these newsletters and I do feel bad about that. 2021 has proven to be a beast of a year thus far and I didn’t want to bore people with multiple newsletters with little in the way of information. But as we come into September I thought a quick update on where things sit with Moss & Wolf was in order.

The first order of business would be the status of the next book. It is progressing though not as quickly as we would like. It is still in first draft status but we are currently working on the first pass of editing. We’ve gotten through 72 of 192 pages down so far, so approaching the halfway mark which is nowhere near as far as we were hoping to be at this point.

Due to personal issues, we had a few months of slow to non-existent progress but are getting back into the swing of things. Our hope is still to have it all finished by the first quarter of 2022 though probably not by January. Still, with dedication and some help from our Alpha reader we are hoping to get it into a state fit to be sent to an editor by the end of the year so fingers crossed.

In regards to the first book, I first want to say thank you so much to everyone who took the time to leave a review or rating on Amazon and Goodreads. To see so many people take the time out of their day to leave a kind word or a positive rating for a little independently published book really touches my heart. Even the ones that weren’t totally positive still offered valuable insight into how we can approve and I never thought we would get as many. I have to thank my co-author B for that more than anything as she has done far more to push the book than I have. But seriously, thank you to everyone.

While that felt a bit like an end to this I still have a few things left to say about the first book. We are working on a second edition. The plan is to clean up a few more errors in the book itself, change the cover to something that we can imitate more easily for future books so they all look roughly the same on people’s shelves, and add page numbers to the print edition which was a glaring oversight. We are hoping to release the second edition at the same time as the second book and hopefully, life lets B and I get back on track.

Now that is all I have to say for the moment, besides thank you so much if you read this and are a fan of the book. We are so thrilled that people are taking to the story of Brutus and Charlie. We plan to keep improving the quality of the books as we grow and develop as writers to give you an even better experience and I think you guys will really see that in the next book.

Thanks for being a member of the pack,

J.J. White

P.S. We are going to need beta readers to go through the second draft of the story and give us their thoughts. If that would interest you feel free to reach out to us at mossandwolf@gmail.com and put Beta Reader in the subject.
